Life Insurance
Participant Life Insurance
This protection guarantees that the insured amount will be paid to beneficiaries when the employee dies. It is offered in fixed amounts or in multiples of annual salary. An employee who is critically ill may receive part of his life insurance amount before passing away.
Optional Life Insurance
Should additional financial support be required, an employee or his spouse may buy an additional amount of life insurance on a voluntary basis (Evidence of good health required).
Dependent Life Insurance
This coverage protects a participant’s spouse and dependent children. When a dependent dies, the participant shall receive the amount of benefit set forth in the contract.
Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D)
Through an agreement negotiated with a specialized insurer, Assurances Dalbec has enhanced its AD&D protection with a rider covering cancer diagnosis which provides non-taxable additional benefits to eligible employees during their illness.
